Expression of Interest Community Representative
Do you want to be a part of art and cultural activities in our region?
The Scenic Rim Arts Reference Group is made up of volunteer community representatives who have experience and/or interest in achieving great outcomes for art and cultural activities in our region.
Members meet two to three times per year and use the on-line SmartyGrants portal to assess applications.
Members may have interests in art, landscape or architectural design, performance, education, heritage, tourism, health and wellbeing or be representative of cultural or diverse backgrounds.
Arts Reference Group Objectives
- Promote the arts as a tool for cultural expression and development and build community engagement;
- Assist Council with the selection and commissioning of Public Art works;
- Assist Council to promote and deliver Regional Arts Development Fund;
- Foster community engagement with the arts as an essential component of a healthy and vibrant community and to be an advocate for the importance of arts as a vital component of community development.

The Term of Office for ARG members is three years.
